Favorite Art

You could, of course, include most of the other pages on this site under the broad umbrella of "art" but this page if focused specifically on the sort of traditional arts you might find in a museum. Every time my parents took me to a different city, we would go to museums there and especially art and history museums. So while I wouldn't call myself any kind of art critic, a lot of this stuff speaks to me and I want to share some of my favorites.

Impressionism

Frits Thaulow and Claude Monet are my two favorites. The below captures Thaulow's ability to paint water beautifully.

Ceramics and Pottery

I do ceramics myself and it can be very inspiring to see the work of professionals. Right now my favorite studio is Ephraim pottery. Here is a link to their site
